Jaako Rakhe Saaiyan, Maar Sake Na Koi!
(If God wants to save you, no one can kill you)
Attached is the image of a literally burst out tire.
2:15 pm: This is what happened with a boom and a wobble on a highway with a speed of 70 MPH.
I was on phone with my scribe Cindy. Stopped my sentence midway. "Cindy, I will call you later."
By God's grace, I was able to keep my sanity and steer it safely with a struggle to land on the shoulder.
Phew....!
Took a deep breath and then called to cancel the rest of my patients.
This morning, every assisted living patient wished me a safe drive at the end of the visit. And yes, I am safe despite the big accident.
( I offer assisted living visits once a month to help out frail elderly debilitated patients who aren't able to commute and they are very kind with their blessings.)
"Hello Rosy, I got a car trouble. We will call it a day. You can go home. Please tell Annie to let the rest of our patients know that we will have to reschedule due to an emergency.
Rosy:" Doc, are you ok? Would you like me to come where you are?"
Me: " Thanks Rosy. I think I can manage. I will let you know if I need help."
Called Cathy, " Cathy, you can call it a day. Got into some car tire trouble."
Cathy, " Oh no Doc! Have a safe drive home."
"Thanks Cathy."
Called the roadside assistance.
Found the dealership and service center between the current location and home. Got the car towed.
The towing man was a gentleman and very helpful.
Reached the dealership, needed some work so they offered a loaner for the night.
The serviceman said,
"This could be from several reasons, such as
1.Something could have been in the tire like a nail and it came out with sudden release of air.
Me thinking, "(There was no alert on the front panel for the tire pressure.)"
Car Serviceman, "2. The tire rolled over a pothole or a sharp object at a perfect angle.
Me thinking, "( I don't remember any pothole or nail on the beautiful flawless I-45.)"
Car serviceman, "3. Or it could be anything else."
Me thinking...
Annie sent a care text to find out if I was ok.
Texted back to let her know that I was safe.
The care words certainly brought a smile on my face.
Oh no! It's 5 pm now. My team would be logging on for reporting. Texted Ross to reschedule the meeting due to a car issue.
Ron, "oh, ok doc."
Took a loaner car and came home. Will pick up my car tomorrow.
During this whole thing, I realized that I wasn't scared. I was just focused on what to do next to get out of this situation and reach home to my lovely daughter Riya.
My whole childhood flashed back. I felt like I had the patience of my mom and courage of my dad and that took me out of this situation.
Yes, it is their anniversary today.
Happy anniversary mom and dad. Your values and strength helped me a lot today.
Your marriage is the reason I came to this earth.
Your strength and your patience is the reason I survived this incident.
And I realized that my life is the best gift I can give you on your anniversary.
Happy anniversary mom dad and biggest BEAR Hugs!!!
